Children's Welfare

Coordinator: Anne Trine Kjørholt , Director and Associate Professor, The Norwegian Centre for Child Research (NOSEB)

Anne Trine Kjørholt also chairs the COST A19, a network which constitutes the core of the study group. COST A19 seeks to understand children's welfare in aging societies. Children's economic and social welfare, children's access to space and use of time and children's rights and discourses are the highlighted welfare areas in COST A19 action.
The study group seeks to understand the interplay of material, social and institutional
forces through emphasizing theoretical and methodological approaches to children's welfare.

Ongoing research will be presented at the conference in 2005, but the thematic session will be open for papers and posters from individual participants.
